Privacy and seclusion are the highlights of the Rusty Sunrise vacation rental, a palatial four bedroom and four and a half bath luxury home in the Poipu Kai Resort community. Designed to accommodate larger parties, this vacation rental is great for a large family vacation or group getaway.

Rusty Sunrise vacation rental has it all, including a spacious gourmet chef’s kitchen with an extra large island and countertop seating, separate dining room with butler’s pantry, 350+ bottle chilled wine cellar and laundry room. Everyone gets their own bathroom with four full bathrooms and a powder room in the home. The main floor master suite includes an en suite bathroom large enough to resemble a small room and an additional bedroom suite. On the second floor of the vacation rental, the master suite is furnished for decadence, including an entertainment bar with a sink and beverage center, sitting area with two daybeds, private lanai, two walk-in closets, and en suite bathroom with his and her vanities, oversized walk-in shower and soaking tub. The finishing touches on Rusty Sunrise vacation rental are an extraordinary blend of design, quality and workmanship, with cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, rare beach quartzite, travertine tiles, tigerwood flooring and mahogany doors.

Evening barbecues and cocktails can be enjoyed on the expansive covered lanai of the vacation rental, complete with ceiling fans, lounge furniture, and a dining table that seats up to eight people. Just through the breezeway is the lush courtyard, a perfect enclosed area for children to play safely while their parents relax.  There are two garages on the property, one attached and the other connected through the breezeway.

The Poipu Kai Resort is an exclusive community with its own private swimming pool and hot tub, world class tennis courts, expansive greenbelts with walking paths to nearby beaches, and 24-hour security. All of Poipu’s great dining, shopping, spas and golf are located within five minutes of Poipu Kai.

LOST KEYS: If any keys are lost, a fee of $50 will be charged for each key lost to have a locksmith remake the key(s).
DEPOSITS: A security deposit or insurance premium will be charged to all
Guests to pay for any damage, missing items, loss, or excessive cleaning incurred
as a result of Guest’s stay. Any unused security deposit will be returned to Guest
as soon as possible after Guest’s departure.

CHECK-IN TIME: 4:00 P.M. unless otherwise agreed.
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:00 A.M. unless otherwise agreed.
NO SMOKING: Guests are not permitted to smoke inside or outside the home.
NO PETS: Guests are not permitted to have pets or adopted animals inside or outside the home. The Kauai Humane Society has a wonderful “adopt a dog for a day program” which we fully support. However, the intention of that program is to take the dog to the park or to the beach, not to this home. Pets or adopted animals are not allowed at the residence.

SERVICE ANIMALS: Guests who plan on bringing one or more service animal(s) are required to submit before arrival proper written verification that the animal is a certified service animal. Uncertified animals shall not be permitted as described in Paragraph 4 above. This policy is for the protection of the property owner and is consistent with the general prohibition of animals on the property.

POOL: NO DIVING is permitted in the pool. NO GLASS is permitted outside the home. We provide plastic wine glasses, cups, plates and bowls as well as serving trays for your use outside. PLEASE keep in mind that if broken glass finds its way into the pool or spa it may have to be drained.

SECURE THE PREMISES: While you are renting this home it is your responsibility, as a Guest, to secure the home and its contents as well as your personal belongings when you leave. Please DO NOT ever leave the home without locking the doors and windows and closing the hurricane shutters!

RETURN FROM THE BEACH: PLEASE use the showers located at the beach to remove sand before you go into the pool or the house. Many Guests have used the pool to remove sand from the ocean and beach, which makes it very difficult for the pool to be cleaned thoroughly and damages the interior of the pool.

OPEN FIRES: Are prohibited on the property at all times.
TELEPHONE: Guests are welcome to use the telephone to make local and toll free calls. Long distance service is not included.

ADDITIONAL GUEST: If more than the contractually agreed upon number of Guests, as set forth in your booking confirmation, are staying at the house we reserve the right to terminate the reservation and retain the balance of the rent paid. At a minimum, a fee of $200/night per additional occupant will be charged to your credit card.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Guest must make any cancellation between the time of booking and ninety (90) days prior to Guest’s arrival date. Cancellations made within this time frame will result in a full refund of all monies paid. Any cancellation, change of dates, or early departures made less than ninety (90) days prior to your contracted arrival date will result in forfeiture of all monies paid. In light of the fact that each property is unique and unforeseen events may occur to include, but not be limited to, sale of the property, significant maintenance issues, fire, and/or power outages, we do reserve the right to cancel your reservation at a specific property at any time. In the event this should occur we will assist you in making alternate arrangements. If we are unable to satisfactorily place you in a property managed by Alekona Kauai, L.L.C. you will receive a full refund of all monies paid by you to Alekona Kauai, L.L.C.

HOUSEKEEPING: For stays of fourteen days or longer, mandatory housekeeping occurs every seven (7) days and will be charged to Guests. If a service animal will be accompanying a Guest an additional cleaning charge may be assessed regardless of the number of days of Guest’s stay.

ALEKONA KAUAI, LLC: Every effort has been made to provide Guest with accurate information concerning this home. However, distances to the beach and other locations and activities are approximations. The inventory of the home may vary over time. Moreover, due to construction that may occur it is possible that views may be obstructed. Alekona Kauai, LLC will not be held responsible for noise or loss of view and such conditions will not void or alter the terms of this agreement.

SUPERVISION OF MINORS: Guest acknowledges and agrees that Guest will be responsible for and will assume the risk for any of Guest’s minor family members, guests, or invitees that use the Facilities at this home, including, but not limited to, the swimming pool and spa. Guest hereby agrees to supervise any children, non-swimmers, individuals with physical or other disabilities, and all others using the Facilities and to take full responsibility for their supervision.

GUEST SATISFACTION: Alekona Kauai, LLC along with its agents and employees strive to ensure that each guests has an enjoyable stay at the property they have chosen. If there is a problem with the property, or any other aspect of the vacation that you booked with Alekona Kauai, LLC we want to know. As such, Guest agrees to notify Alekona Kauai, LLC in writing within twenty-four hours of check-in at the property if the residence does not meet with Guest’s satisfaction by hand delivering said written notice detailing the complaints of Guest concerning the residence to Alekona Kauai, LLC at 5488-A, Koloa Street, Koloa, HI 96756. Reasonable efforts will be made to relocate any dissatisfied Guests but acceptable relocation is not guaranteed due to uncertainties as to available spaces, time of year and other factors over which Alekona Kauai, LLC has no control. Complaints regarding the property will not be honored after the initial 24-hour period of the rental, and any complaints filed with credit card
companies after rental is completed will not be honored.

GUEST HEREBY WAIVES AND RELEASES ALEKONA KAUAI, LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, ALONG WITH THE OWNER’S OF THE PROPERTY, FROM AND AGAINST ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, INJURIES OR DEATH THAT MAY BE SUSTAINED BY GUEST ON OR NEAR OR ADJACENT TO THE PROPERTY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE SWIMMING POOL, SPA AND OTHER FACILITIES ON THE PROPERTY. GUEST AGREES TO USE THE FACILITIES ENTIRELY AT GUEST’S OWN INITIATIVE, RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY.

Guest agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Alekona Kauai, LLC, its owners, employees, representatives, agents, successors and assigns for any and all damages, costs, expenses, attorney’s fees, and other obligations incurred by Alekona Kauai, Alekona Kauai’s owners, employees, representatives, agents, successors or assigns due to any claims relating to property damage, injuries or death that may be sustained by Guest on or near or adjacent to the home during the term of the rental agreement.

This Agreement may be plead as a complete defense to any action or other proceeding, which may be brought, instituted or taken by the undersigned, the undersigned’s family, other guests, invitees or Property users, in breach of this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions of the Agreement shall not be affected
thereby and shall be fully and strictly enforced. This Agreement, which includes all terms of Alekona Kauai’s booking confirmation for the Property, shall be binding upon the undersigned and the undersigned’s heirs, personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns of the undersigned.
